NLRB Checked Again

A district judge in Easter, Texas vacated the new Joint Employer Rule from the NLRB – just in time to keep it from going into effect. The proposed rule would have made the relationship between clients and contractors more tenuous and difficult to separate, complicating the conduct of business. The NLRB is apparently considering an appeal, but the business community is breathing a bit easier for the time being. The President & CEO of the US Chamber of Commerce is quoted as saying, “This ruling is a major win for employers and workers who don’t want their business decisions micromanaged by the NLRB.”
