Critical Payroll Surveillance Needed by Employers

A California canned drink manufacturer has sued Paylocity for failing to correct alleged errors in its payroll program, thereby causing the employer to be sued twice for wage and hour violations. That suit is ongoing.

In a cautionary statement for all employers, online sources state the following: “Enforcement authorities have long cautioned employers that they remain responsible for compliance with labor and employment laws when using payroll solutions, AI hiring platforms and more.”
