Beware Employees’ Using Chatbots with AI without Their Employers’ Okay

A new US National Cybersecurity Alliance survey shows that over one-third (38%) of “employees share sensitive work information with artificial intelligence (AI) tools without their employer’s permission.” According to the National Law Review, Information shared with a chatbot may be used to train the bot, and that information may then be accessible to future users. Employers are cautioned to alert employees NOT to enter company-sensitive information into chatbots, as the result may be a data breach – as has already happened to some employers.
