ACA Opt-Out Being Opted Out?

As part of an ongoing effort, the Biden administration has proposed eliminating a Trump-era rule allowing employers to opt out of providing contraceptives based on moral objections and providing a work-around in case a moral objection is allowed. The comment period will be open until mid-March.

A poll of HR professionals conducted by a research organization revealed that the top two concerns for HR are “Penalties for employment/labor law violations” and “Compliance with local labor laws.” 

44 of 50 states already have newly-proposed HR-related laws under consideration or in the works, so the concerns voiced above are on target. One of the few areas where productivity seems NOT to be a problem is in state legislatures.
