Benefits Snapshot for 2024

According to SHRM, the following benefits are considered most important by employers: 

  • 88% of employers ranked health care-related benefits as “extremely important” or “very important” to their workforces. 

  • 81% of employers prioritize leave and retirement savings and planning benefits. 

  • 67% say family care benefits are “extremely important” or “very important.” 

In the area of innovation regarding benefits, the following are being considered or implemented: 

  • 46% of employers offer floating holidays.  

  • 39% offer bereavement leave for the loss of a pregnancy, failed surrogacy, or failed adoption. 

  • 17% offer some level of menopause-related benefits (e.g., counseling, education).
