NY Prenatal Healthcare Leave

New York state has become the first state to mandate paid time off for prenatal care. Effective in 2025, employees in New York State will receive up to 20 hours of prenatal healthcare leave – over and above the paid family leave to which they are entitled. On top of that, employers must provide up to thirty minutes of paid break time for employees who are nursing mothers to express milk for up to three years after the birth of a child.
