EEOC Active in May

In the first half of May alone, EEOC settled five lawsuits and brought two new ones: 

The settlements were comprised of two for sexual harassment and three for disability discrimination. Total fines came to $225,500. Both of the new lawsuits are for disability discrimination. 

  • 18 lawsuits against employers: 1 each for Sexual harassment and retaliation, age discrimination and disability discrimination, and 15 against different employers for failure to file “required workplace demographic reports.” 

  • 5 settlements for offenses including one each for retaliation, harassment, race/color discrimination, and two for disability discrimination.
